For over a year now Southern Youth and Family Services (SYFS) have been humbled by the support of locally owned travel company Beyond Travel who have generously donated money from every cruise booking to SYFS along with fellow Shellharbour based NGO SAHSSI.
In working with and getting to know business owner and Thirroul resident Michael Lavilles and his daughter Emma who spearheads the companies Community Engagement, it is evident their focus is on giving back to the community and helping those less fortunate.
This is made even more special given the impact that the COVID epidemic has had on the travel industry including their own family run business.
In SYFS case these funds go directly into funding our Employment, Education and Training programs of which the majority are unfunded.
These programs centre on Employment Skills, Personal Development, Training Course Selections and Applications, Educational Support along with Living and Social Skills. Overall, they are designed to give our most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people the guidance and support they need to secure their future, transition to independent living and enjoy a higher quality of life.
Beyond Travel have now extended this support by becoming the Major Supporting Partner for SYFS Annual cycling fundraiser Ride4Rotary 2023, donating $1000 for a Major Prize along with a $500 Cruise Voucher for the highest individual fundraiser.
Beyond Travel are award winning, international travel and destination specialists with cruise options in countries including Croatia, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, India Scandanavia and Iceland.
