What is Ride 4 Rotary?
Ride4Rotary is an easy bike-riding event which raises money for Youth at Risk in the Illawarra and South Coast with all money raised going to Southern Youth and Family Services.
Register to ride at the event on Sunday May 21ST, 2023 at the Unanderra Velodrome, or choose the Virtual Ride Option to ride when and where you like. Either way once you’re registered the aim is to get sponsored and raise money!
How do I register?
To participate in the event you must first register. Riders from previous years simply need to re-register using exsiting log-in information.
Click here to start the process and choose to ride live at the event on May 21st or whenever and wherever you like between May 1 and May 21st with our Virtual option.
Is it difficult to ride on the Velodrome?
The velodrome is very easy to ride on and suitable for all fitness and experience levels. There is some banking on the turns but it still feels like you’re riding on a flat surface. We've had children as young as 3 participate without any issues!
Do I need to ride at the Event on May 21st in order to participate?
No you don’t. You can select the Virtual Ride option here and ride in your own time wherever and whenever you like.
You can also sponsor a rider or team here or make a general donation here.
Can I still register after the challenge has started?
You can register any time up to May 20th but riding slots on the day of the event (May 21st) will be subject to availability. If there are slots left you can pay and register on the day although we strongly advise pre-registering online.
What if the Event is cancelled due to weather or COVID Health Restrictions?
In the instance that the live R4R Event has to be cancelled due to inclement weather, COVID or any public health or safety order, all live registrations will be switched to the Virtual R4R Event.
All registrants will be notified and can contact R4R Organisers should they wish to cancel their registrations.
Does it cost anything to take part?
There is a small registration fee for anyone 10 years and over. Click here for details.
Can Children Participate?
Yes of course. All participants under 10 years of age will however need to be accompanied by an adult and there is a specific Children’s Session at 11.40am on the day for anyone under 10 years of age.
This does exclude participants under 10 years of age riding during other sessions, it merely guarantees there will be no older riders (excluding parents or guardians) on the track during this particular Children’s session.
